The Tamarind Club, owned and operated for 15 years by Cindy and Eric Clayton, with Cat and Clint behind the bar, officially closed in August, 2018.
Loved by residents and visitors alike, Tamarind Club was known for its delicious food, creative drinks, and welcoming atmosphere. Sunday brunch at Tamarind was one of the most popular activities on Tortola – an all-day affair consisting of mimosas, bloody Marys, and, of course, some well-deserved time in the pool. Countless friendships were formed, business deals were done, and relationships were sparked at the Tamarind Club, and it will be sorely missed by everyone who patronized it over the years.
The next step will be a sale or auction of the property. Let’s hope the new owners repair and reopen quickly, and more importantly, keep the welcoming atmosphere and cool vibe that Tamarind Club was known for.
