There’s something special about November in the British Virgin Islands. After the quieter months of late summer and early fall, the islands begin to buzz with activity again. Favorite restaurants and beach bars welcome back visitors, boats return to the turquoise waters, and the excitement of another Caribbean season is in the air.
Whether you’re a longtime BVI visitor or planning your very first trip, there’s plenty to look forward to this season!
One of the best things about the start of the season is seeing familiar favorites return to full swing. From waterfront dining on Virgin Gorda to lively beach bars on Jost Van Dyke and the beautiful North Sound, the BVI is gearing up to welcome another season of travelers.
It’s the perfect time to revisit your favorite island spots, discover something new, and settle back into the relaxed rhythm of island life.
And while the festive holidays are always popular, don’t overlook January through April. These months offer beautiful sailing conditions, warm Caribbean sunshine, and plenty of opportunities to explore.

The BVI knows how to celebrate, and the upcoming season promises plenty of opportunities to experience the islands’ culture, cuisine, and hospitality.
November brings the return of the Anegada Lobster Festival, scheduled for November 27–29, 2026. This much-loved event celebrates Anegada’s famous spiny lobster, with participating restaurants serving their own delicious creations alongside music and island festivities.
For food lovers, it’s a wonderful excuse to visit one of the BVI’s most unique islands.
Beyond the festivals, the season is also the perfect opportunity to enjoy everything from casual beachside lunches and fresh seafood to memorable dinners overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
There’s no better way to appreciate the beauty of the British Virgin Islands than from the water.
With more than 60 islands and cays to explore, every boating adventure offers something different. Spend a day snorkeling the Indians, visit the famous beach bars of Jost Van Dyke, cruise through the North Sound, or head to Anegada for a long lunch and a little beach time.
Whether you prefer a private powerboat charter, a relaxing catamaran sail, or an unforgettable sunset cruise, getting out on the water should be on everyone’s BVI itinerary.

Even if you’ve been visiting the BVI for years, there’s always another experience waiting to be discovered.
Maybe this is the year you finally explore the beautiful beaches of Anegada, book a private chef for an evening at your villa, discover a new snorkeling spot, or simply spend an entire afternoon doing absolutely nothing beside the pool.
Sometimes the most memorable moments aren’t the ones you plan. They’re the spontaneous beach stops, conversations with locals, spectacular sunsets, and leisurely lunches that turn into entire afternoons.
That’s the magic of the BVI.
There’s always something new to discover in the BVI, and the 2026–2027 season brings some exciting additions!
Peter Island Resort still has that new-resort feel following its spectacular transformation. If you haven’t made it over for a visit since its reopening, put it on your list!
Over on Virgin Gorda, we’re especially excited about The Drop Off at Mango Bay, a new beachfront café, bar, and restaurant scheduled to open in December 2026. With a rebuilt dock welcoming boaters, it’s sure to become a fun new stop for lunch, sunset cocktails, or dinner by the water.
In the North Sound, Biras Creek offers several dining experiences worth exploring, including Japanese-Caribbean fusion at Ikigai, Mediterranean-inspired dishes at The Mangrove, and freshly baked treats at Cafecito.
And on Tortola, newcomers can check out ONDE, a contemporary Italian restaurant at Tortola Pier Park, while Long Bay Beach Resort continues to expand its luxury offerings with the new Indigo Rhythm Villa.
Whether you’re returning to familiar favorites or looking for somewhere completely new, there’s plenty to discover this season!
