Just got an update from Alex Dick-Read, owner of GroundSea Adventures. Alex said, “GroundSea Adventures is once again open for business. Right now we’re mainly doing our mangrove paddle tours but also some hikes and custom fun days as well.” In addition he said, “The mangroves have come back way faster than I thought they might. There was a lot of damage but since the storm the natural recovery process has taken off and new shoots and trees are taking over and looking strong! The jellyfish are back, rays and baby sharks are flourishing, so it’s really great news and a special adventure for anyone visiting or living the islands.” GroundSea Adventures, located in Tortola Pier Park, offers a range of eco-tours including stand-up paddle (SUP) or kayak tours of pristine mangrove forests, around the bay or down the coast and guided hikes high in the hills or along the coasts.
