According to a recent article in the Caribbean Journal, Guana Island Resort is planning to reopen in the summer of 2018. The article reported, “One of the Caribbean’s most exclusive private island resorts is making a comeback this summer. The British Virgin Islands’ Guana Island is slated to make its post-Irma return in July, according to a statement from the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board.” Guana Island is an 850 acre private island off the coast of Tortola boasting seven breathtaking beaches, magnificent snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, and hiking trails. 15 cottages and 4 luxury villas with private terraces and ocean views are available for rent or you can bring 35 friends and rent the entire island.
