Many have asked the status of Mine Shaft Cafe located near Copper Mine Point on Virgin Gorda and now it looks like we have the answer… they will be back! The group working on the rebuild posted the following on Facebook. They said, “The Mine Shaft will finally be reopening after the destruction from Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The rebuilding effort is due to start next weekend…I will keep you updated along the way. Despite the structures being stripped of rafters and boards, the sunset still had something magical last night. I miss the Mine Shaft… how about you?”
The Mine Shaft Cafe is known for its spectacular sunsets and fresh lobster dinners. Glad to see that another dining option will be reopening on Virgin Gorda. No word yet on the fate of their mini-golf course.
